The NZMTB Progression Program combines private coaching, personalised video feedback, and between-session support to help riders build real trail confidence and stronger riding habits in a supportive and practical environment.
This program is ideal for riders who want more than a single lesson and are looking for a clear progression pathway with ongoing feedback and accountability.

What We Work On
Sessions are tailored to the rider and may include:
- Body position and balance
- Braking and cornering
- Trail scanning and line choice
- Pressure control and traction
- Steep terrain confidence
- Technical climbing and descending
- Flow and speed management
- Jumps, drops, and technical features
- eMTB-specific riding techniques
How The Program Works
Session 1 - Baseline & Build
Identify current habits, strengths, confidence levels, and key focus areas while building strong riding foundations.
Session 2 - Introduce New Skills
Refine core riding techniques and build consistency through focused trail-based coaching.
Session 3 - Consolidation & Progression
Apply skills on more varied and technical terrain with increased flow, confidence, and trail speed.
Session 4 - Lock It In with Trail Application
Review progression, compare video feedback, and create a clear plan for continued improvement.
Every session includes personalised post-ride video feedback with selected clips, coaching notes, and specific focus points to help reinforce learning between rides.
Riders can also submit riding clips between sessions for additional feedback and progression support throughout the program.

1 Rider - NZD $1,250
Includes:

Additional riders:

Riders should be of similar riding ability and goals to ensure the best coaching experience.
Maximum group size: 4 riders.

- Helmet and riding gear suitable for conditions

- Gloves, eyewear, and knee pads are recommended
Coaches
GSMBC qualified coaches with current outdoor first aid or PHEC qualifications. Friendly, professional, and passionate about helping riders progress in a supportive and practical environment.
